Ruqayyah Bint Muhammad was the second daughter of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and Hazrat Khadija (R.A). She was born in 601 CE in Makkah.
Ruqayyah Bint Muhammad was the second daughter of Prophet (PBUH) and was married to her cousin, the son of Abu Lahab before Islam. When Prophet (PBUH) proclaimed Islam, Abu Lahab forced his son to divorce her. She was then married to Hazrat Usman (R.A). Both lived happily in Madina. When she became sick, Prophet (PBUH) told Hazrat Usman (R.A) to tend to her instead of going to the battle of Badar and promised him that he shall be given the same reward.
She is believed to have died when Muslims returned victorious from the battle of Badar in 623 CE.
